"I've gotten the scary feeling, for the first time in my life, that dimwittedness is not just on the march in the U.S., but that it might actually prevail," Bob Herbert wrote in his Saturday New York Times column.
You know, it amuses the heck out of me when Democrats imply (actually not imply...downright state) that anyone who doesn't share their views are unintelligent and uneducated. Bob Herbert may think himself clever, but his statements are a childish form of name calling that is laughable. He should have learned better behavior while on the playground.
Well, I may not have the Ivy League education of Obama and company or the money/influence of a Hollywood celebrity but I know how to take care of my family. I've worked hard to obtain my education and to advance in my field. I know how to do my job well and know how to live my life with integrity. I also know what I need from my government. What I DON'T need is what the Democrats are offering. What I DO need is what the Republicans are offering. Period. So, laugh it up Chuckles. Say what you will about people in small towns who cling to their religion and values. The media can pontificate and celebrities can bitch and moan but the only voice that ultimately matters is mine...and it will be heard in a voting booth in November. On that day, we're all equal
